Client Overview

Our client is America’s largest independent distributor of 26,000 heavy-duty truck and trailer replacement parts from top brands with over 300 plus locations across 46 states. It also provides services and solutions support such as drive in services, inspections, repair, driveline and flywheel, fluid power/hydraulics systems.

The problem

The client wanted to cut costs in the areas of inventory storage, freight movement, labour, vendor management and many others. The existing reports generated were not detailed and comprehensive enough to facilitate decision making and serve their purpose. The client also wanted to perform ETL operations to create new tables or modify the existing ones and load data into them periodically. To accomplish this, the telecom company needed a strong implementation partner with the expertise and the experience to implement a successful solution.

Our Solution

PureSoftware with their technical expertise and deep industry knowledge partnered with the client and deployed a team of experts and data consultants to address their business challenge.

The existing reports were being run by queries and stored procedures that used OLTP databases. To address the shortcomings, PureSoftware team developed reporting solutions using SSRS and Power BI. These reports could then be emailed to the stakeholders in PDF or any other format of their choice. Also, to facilitate new and comprehensive reports and load data periodically, tables were developed in Microsoft SQL server via. SSIS ETL process. The reports were developed in Microsoft BI on cloud.

The Result

Delivered high quality visual chart reports for viewability on multiple devices.

Readily accessible reports via web or App.

Comprehensive reports for accelerated decision making.
